Today, January 11 , is the first ever International Parity at Work Day. The idea behind it is to champion the value of workplace diversity and eventually help eliminate the gender pay gap.

Ishreen Bradley, founder of The Parity Pioneers Movement, explains: “Leading in a complex world is clearly not just a ‘man/woman’ issue. These skills are required of all of us - irrespective of gender, race, age, sexual orientation, mental and physical agility.

“Being brutally honest, each of us will have to overcome our own bias if we are to lead diverse teams with any degree of success and benefit from increased creativity, loyalty and performance. Why not make a start today – International Parity at Work Day? Use the significance of this observance day to disrupt fixed ways of thinking and have an impact at work.”
