And two other things Henley Business School’s researchers can teach HR
The impact of digital technologies, storytelling and diversity were among the items on the agenda at Henley Business School’s ‘Leading in an ever-changing world’ event earlier this week. Here are three things we learned on the day:
Sharing personal stories can benefit team dynamics
According to Dr Penny Moore, post-doctoral research fellow, storytelling is fundamental to human beings. It helps us to understand the world around us and – perhaps more importantly – each other, but it can also benefit businesses. “If you know where someone has come from, what’s important to them and what their values are, it could help you to predict their behaviour a little better, or at least understand them a bit more,” Moore said.
