Ten years ago, Brandice Henderson-Daniel went out on a whim and launched Harlem Fashion Row. After attending a fashion show, she was so inspired that she made it her mission to bring a similar experience to her neighborhood and provide a group of talented designers with the exposure and opportunities normally reserved for the tents of New York Fashion Week.
But this wasn’t just any neighborhood and these weren’t just any designers. This was Harlem and the designers were all people of color.
