According to the research by Social Mobility Commission, young Muslims are being held back from reaching their full potential at every stage of their lives, from school to university and at work.

Though many from Pakistani and Bangladeshi backgrounds are more likely to succeed in education and go to university, especially girls, this doesn’t translate in the work place.

The report found that only 6% of Muslims are in higher managerial, administrative and professional roles, compared to 10% of the overall population.
